I’m Jessie Baca, the artist behind MexiModern.
As a fourth-generation artist, I’ve spent the past 25 years transforming everyday objects into something truly special—painting on anything but canvas to create functional works of art infused with surprising whimsy and charm.
Inspired by Santa Fe
Santa Fe is steeped in local traditions, vibrant color, flora and fauna - the unmistakable aesthetic of the Southwest. Found on storefronts, restaurants, and homes throughout the city, my hand-painted murals transform everyday spaces with surprising bursts of enchantment and story.
Now, I’m bringing that same spirit to a modern, curated collection of beautifully designed textiles, paper and other goods—bandanas, tea towels, napkins, notecards, and more. Each piece captures the essence of joyful, folk art-inspired designs.
